Wasn't the original runtime reported to be 2hrs.20mins.?

I swear I've read many articles that said that. Were they all was wrong or did the studio cut a lot?

You are correct, Justin Kurzel's original cut was about 140 minutes, so they cut almost 30 minutes out. I'm hopeful that the R-rated Bluray release will be the Director's Cut with all that footage back in.

Considering how they seem to be DLCing movies these days (You knowingly watch vanilla in theaters, then PAY FOR THE EXTRA SCENES!), i wouldn't be surprised. I dunno whether "i noticed they clearly cut stuff out" like everyone says every time, but there's a couple things that could feel a bit less rushed, mainly during the simulations. It was ok as it was anyway!

I totally agree, although some scenes moved very quickly I still think the theatrical cut is quite a treat to watch. I'd love to see the original cut though- it can only get better!! :D

There MUST be an extended edition, because after reading the Official Movie Novelization, I can confirm that many of the scenes and dialogue were removed from the theatrical release. It would only make sense for them to save that for an extended director's cut.

Ah yes, I have yet to read that. On my to do list! It definitely makes sense for an extended cut to happen.
