Black Knight an ancestor of the chief guard at the Animus facility?

I'm probably wrong about this but I thought the Inquisition's chief enforcer, the Black Knight, was the same actor who played the head of the security at the facility that housed the Animus and was Sophia's bodyguard. How cool would that have been? Even if it was never discussed, the fact that the Templars could have a descendant working for them 500 years in the future would have been neat, I thought.

One of the people who I watched the movie with (who has not played any AC games) suggested this exact same idea as a possibility. Although actor that played the Abstergo security chief and the guy who played Ojeda the Black Knight are two different actors, this theory is plausible. As the movie progresses, it seems to give the impression that there is at least some sort of connection between the chief guard and Ojeda, at least in terms of their roles within the Templar movement.

At the point where the Rikkins were getting ready to board the helicopter for evacuation, I wondered whether the security chief would be forced to fight Callum Lynch to defend them.

It would definitely be interesting if Ojeda/the Black Knight was an ancestor of the Abstergo security chief. Since the security head survived the movie, it is likely he is intended to be one of Sophia's counters to Lynch's Moussa and Lin.

I thought so, but after what he said to Call before he went to Animus for the last time made me think he is an Assassin under cover.

The camera spent some time on him so he is important somehow.
