How did this work?

"Aguilar and Maria are scheduled for execution, but Aguilar manages to free himself and Maria, leading to a rooftop chase in which they perform a Leap of Faith to escape."

I remember the jump but don't think it explained how they survived it.

They fell into... a pile of hay. Probably. I dunno. Isn't that how the games work?

Ah ok, just checking if I missed something. Was from quite a height but maybe a gryphon picked them up.

We didn't see it because Cal desynchronized himself.

They had to leap from the lion's head to prove their worth and find the Holy Grail!

...which turned out to be in some snooty French guys' castle. ;D
