Lots of Desmond and a bit of Altair

Name changing did not make a difference - this is obviously Desmond/Altair story with lots of exposition for the non gamers. Which, I guess, if you've never played the game, you need to understand the universe. I never cared for Desmond. So, I didn't care for... whatever Desmond's name in this is.

But, I loved the Altair scenes. It was beautiful. Well choreographed. And, like, live action Assassin's Creed! I once hijacked a horse and then later jumped off of it onto a carriage. That was fun to watch, because we done it :)

I went to see it just so I can see those scenes, and they made it worth watching. There is a reason there are no longer Desmond scenes in the games. No one liked them. In the last few, you just play the memories.

But, I guess the movie needed some backstory and exposition for the non-gamers.
