The sequel

Though the sequel is unlikely because of its underperformance but i wonder what would be a good story?

If a sequel happens, it is very likely to introduce Juno or a Juno-like character. There also would be a considerable chance that Sofia would turn the tables and recover the apple at some point during the movie. There could be an instance where a character from one side betrays their order and defects to the other. If this occurs, it would likely be an assassin turning Templar.

For the modern part, they should focus on developing Callum, Sofia, Moussa, Lin, McGowen (the Abstergo security chief) and a few other characters. It would be good to see more incorporation of the concept of "social stealth" into the movie. Working as a team, the assassin characters should use social stealth in at least one impressive kill.

I wonder whether they would try to add the Sage character into the movie. Fans of the series would be on immediate alert if they saw certain defining characteristics of the Sage. Saying anything more about that could potentially constitute major spoilers if a sequel does happen, although people who have played the recent games will know what is the deal with the Sage.

The critics may not like the sequel but it would probably be better received by them than the original since a lot of what they complained about (other than it inherently being a video game-based movie) could be addressed easily.

Kurzel expressed interest in having the past part of the movie take place in the 1950s U.S. Whether that would actually happen or not is another matter.

It would be a good idea to spend much more time on the past than the original movie did. A lot of the exposition needed for the present has already happened, so they should focus more on fleshing out the characters from the past segments of the movie.

There are plenty of different historical epochs that can be utilized for the ancestor parts of the movie.

You have very good points here. I agree that the sequel will definitely fix most or all of the issues with this first one. And having a Sage would be friggin AWESOME!!

Thanks :) In addition to being an awesome character, the more I think about it, the more it seems like having a Sage would make it easier to explain to non-gamers about certain plot points. AC players would love it, but people who do not play the games might find it to be a pretty cool twist too.

I am hoping that Ubisoft can follow through with their plan for a sequel.

You're right, that would be a very cool way to explain things. Ubisoft was smart- they funded the film themselves with money from their games revenue. Since they make so much money a year, they can fund the sequel regardless of how well this one does (since games generate so much more revenue than movies).

And no, thank you!! It's always nice to talk to a fellow fan. :)

So, hopefully both of the planned sequels will likely be made! :D

Also, have a Templar character, either past or present, who resembles Haytham Kenway. There is a reason why Haytham is considered one of the more popular and well-written Templar characters in the AC series.
