Security seemed awfully lax considering....

Throughout the modern sections of the film you can't really help but to think that the guy the 'templars' had in charge of security wasn't doing a very good job. First of all I'm not sure it's such a great idea to begin with to gather all these hand-to-hand combat expert assassins in the same place and then only arm the guards with batons to take them on in hand to hand combat if something goes worng. Not sure it's such a good idea to leave their favourite weapons like those silly blades and crossbows around either.

Then again not to fault that security guy too much because the guy in charge of that super important annual templar convention in the end was doing an even worse job. You'd think it would have been a good idea to leave descriptions of those murder-crazy assassins who just took charge of your secret research center and escaped to the front desk of that convention, but why bother, I guess it makes more sense to just let them walk in through the front door carrying all kinds of suspicious looking metal items, but it's all good they look harmless enough based on a glimpse. On top of that when your arch enemys choice of wardrobe is some kind of a hood I'm not so sure it's such a great idea for the dresscode of that templar convention to require everyone to wear hoods.

I guess I've badmouthed those security guys enough, but an honorable mention to the fact that when one of their highest ranking templars is killed their reaction is to just open the doors open wide and let everyone run or walk out and be all cool about it.
