Tracking to lose $75 - $100 million!!!!!

http://screenrant.com/assassins-creed-movie-box-office-loss-money/

The article states:

THR reports that Assassin’s Creed is currently on track to lose between $75 – $100 million. The film opened to a meager $14.9 million over the four-day Christmas holiday, leading to a disappointing six-day total of $22.4 million. Taking into account the film’s hefty $125 million dollar production budget, Assassin’s Creed doesn’t look to have a very bright future.
Factoring that result with the film’s poor financial run definitely puts the sequel plans into doubt.
Not good news for those expecting a sequel. Sad 

It's getting what it deserves for going the bloodless, pathetic, PG13 route.

reply

Yup I think AC will only be games from here on out.

The games aren't that bloody. It's doing poorly because it's a badly put together movie.

reply

And part of being a "poorly put together movie" is not having blood when guys are getting stabbed in the neck with blades and spears. Stop dancing around the issue. Even major critics have called it out for being a piece of PG13 crap. Are you going to say their wrong too?

reply

The games are bloody with the exception of AC1.. In fact during AC3 when Conor meets one of his first Assassin recruits (The Butcher ), both him and Conor are covered in blood during the cutscene.

This is of course one example of many stretched back even farther in the franchise.

The studio assumes that the primary audience for video game movies is teenagers. You don't release a video game movie that teenagers can't go see.

Please don't call someone a _____tard.

reply

Good. Hopefully now we can get a proper adaption one day. The only way to stop these watered down PG movies is to stop giving them our money. The only thing that talks in Hollywood is money.

Yeah I think they will have to wait a few more years to reboot it. I think I will enjoy it when I see it, but wishing for a sequel is a wish wasted.

This is a signature. Just wanted to point that out.

What elements of an R-rated movie would make the movie better, in your opinion?
