Warcraft eneded its run after 7 weeks, with $47.2 million in North America. Tracking has Assassin's Creed at $40 million after the four-day weekend is over.
Do you think it will be able to outgross Warcraft at this point?
That is a good question. I think it might, but I didn't realized it didn't made much money there in first place. I was sure it would make around 70-80 million in US few months ago despite already seeing this as box office failure due to drunks from Fox going YOLO with this against Rogue One. It is questionable whether it will out gross or not.. I don't think it matters much at this point, since none turned out successful in US.
shareIt's actually leggier than Warcraft, so I think that it will. It's already grossed $42 million in America now after only it's second weekend, so there's a good chance that by next weekend, it would of grossed more than $50 million and at the very least end it's run at about $60 million. Internationally it has already made $86 million, so expect it to do better worldwide than domestically like Warcraft did but at the same time, it will never be able to outgross Warcraft because it won't do as well in China.
