First Civilization ISU vs US military today.

Do you think if the ISU was ressurrected back to life, they could take control over the world again? And could stand to toe against the world's powerful military nation?

reply

If the Isu civilization was revived to what it was like in its prime and given time to setup infrastructure, human militaries would likely have serious difficulties standing against the Isu technology. During the first Homo Sapien-Isu war, the rebelling humans probably had some working knowledge of Isu technology and put it to use against their adversaries.

One thing though that would be favorable for humanity/the U.S./whatever would be that humans in the 21st century are almost certainly more numerous than they were during the time of the Isu. The Isu would have to adapt their tactics to deal with this issue.

Humans would probably need to use asymmetrical tactics and especially attrition in order to stand much of a chance stopping an Isu conquest. The mind manipulation technology and genetic knowledge of the Isu would be extremely dangerous.

But the US has nukes and biological mass destruction weapons. Couldn't that be a advantage?

reply

Yes, nuclear weapons and biological weapons would best a huge problem for the Isu. Although the Isu might be able to mitigate damage from various kinds of military assaults, the sheer quantity of weapons and relentless attacks might simply cause them to die off from attrition. The Isu apparently are few of number. A lot would hinge on what would happen with each side's biological weapons.
