Spake?
Am I stupid or was there a typo in the subtitles with the priest before the assassins were brought out to burn at the stake? The first line was "the Lord spake," followed by "and He said..."
Did anyone else catch this?

I caught it. I thought a typo at first also, then I figured maybe it was a word used in the past
shareNot a typo. Just a form of "spoke" that fell out of use.
shareLol
share"Spake" is just a Biblical / archaic past-tense form of "speak." In modernity, we use "spoke" or "have spoken." It would make sense in the context of the film to use 'spake' instead.
Catch me when you can, Mishter Lusk.
