As someone who didn't play the games.

I'm a fan of the games and still haven't seen the movie, but I read the same opinion from those who haven't played the games. Probably, it's also because the movie is meant to continue in future sequels, and some parts remain unexplained.

Agreed, and to me at least, playing the games shouldn't have to be a pre-requisite to watching a movie, the movie was really sloppy and confusing, the whole beginning where he's "executed" and scooped up by Abstergo was really rushed and wasn't explained very well, it was just like you're alive and no one knows it, now we have you and you're going into the Animus.

I never played the games either but I really enjoyed the movie, although I still have some questions. I'm hoping for a sequel to answer some of them. I didn't think the movie failed for me at all.

I have never played the games either and it was just confusing a tad I picked up on some things as they explained it but thats it. I didnt get the whole Assassins vs Templar til the very end of the movie.


Lose the Game!!!!!!!

I havnt seen the film yet as it doesn't come out until new year's day where I come from. I'm not a gamer either so it'll all be new to me too. However being a huge fan of Michael Fassbender I have done my research by watching all the trailers, all his promotion interviews & press conferences etc on utube so I think I fully get the gist of it now. However I'm going to see it with people who havnt so it will be interesting to see if they understand it too here's hoping ;-)

Not sure what it was all about having not played or even heard of the games.
Went because of the cast of some great actors.
