Soooo, can they stop already?

There are few video games movie in production, can they stop? Gamers and movie audience don't care about them, they will be *beep* either way.

Box office numbers of those movies says that even gamers don't care about those movie. Looking in all of different forums says the same thing, no one really interested. (By saying no one I mean most).
True - Even if movie come out great, I don't care, couse making movie out of games is dumb, TV shows have more sense, but that's me.

And the fact that the box office numbers say that they go in the first weekend proves that they do care, they just want good movies. Hmm, how many video game movies can you name that have actually been critical successes? None? So, why can't you make the connection of gamers being disappointed by them for not being good rather than the illogical conclusion that they don't care about them in general?

reply

Yes, that's you. You can't speak for a community you don't know, so this thread is pretty much.. well.. stupid. They will continue making movies that originated from games, wether you or anyone else like it or not. Warcraft is one of the most, if not THE most, successful video game adaptions ever made. $433 million.

Other game adaptions come in around $100-300 million. So by you saying "Box office numbers of those movies says that even gamers don't care about those movie." is just plain stupid too. You're basing your "facts" on your own opinions.

Warcraft's financial performance was still disappointing though. While I liked the movie, it still bombed in America (made under $50 million domestically) and still lost money. So, it's disappointing because Warcraft probably won't get sequels.

reply

Of course it was underperforming, and it wasn't really a success in the US. However I don't think that they will rule out the chance of making a sequel because of that. I mean look at Resident Evil. I'm hopeful that they will make a sequel to Warcraft, but I don't think that the US will become their main target in marketing if they chose to do it.
