COLOR GRADING IS ATROCIOUS!!!

Under lit washed out desaturation while, at the same time, over saturation of only certain colors and everything else looks like it's being shot underwater in a murky diarrhea filled toilet. What moron thinks that this looks good and what idiot approved of this style?!?

reply

If you're so "clever", why wouldn't you rather go and make your own 200$-million blockbuster and use the color paletter just as you wish on this?

Nolan, I love you forever!

I love the color grading it gives the movie an unique style just like Kurzel's Macbeth

reply

Agreed. I think the cinematography looks beautiful... just as it was in Macbeth.

Greedy for power, for honour, for love.

I for one like the direction but I think it's overdone.

I wouldn't say atrocious but Macbeth is a lot more visually appealing stylistically. Hopefully this looks better on a big screen

The visual approach Kurzel and Arkapaw is applying to AC needs to be seen in high resolution on big screen. Try to watch the trailers or other videos (clips, featurettes) in Full HD on bigger screen, and you'll see what I am talking about. This movie will look magnificent in movie theatre on big screen. Especially in IMAX.

A long time ago, in the Dark Ages they didn't have bright colours. In the future, their retinas are so sensitive that they used muted palettes. They did their research.

Cardboard Box is the Future.

lol i think the PG13 is much worse than the colors
