Not professional critics but some say good things:

The movie didn't execute the templars correctly, they weren't as brutal in the movie as they were in the game. The assassins were ok along with their fighting styles. But the majority was kinda boring and would've been better if it was rated R. The character development was the worst part about the movie since I didn't care about any of the characters, not even the main one.

this is a very unfortunate release for all the great talent involved

A good start but the rest mad game me want to kill myself

So the boring parts of the movie takes away from the fights in the movie so my assassin creed fans be happy the video games make a much better movie then this seedless wonder of a joke movie

Michael Fassbender gives his all, and there are some entertaining action scenes, but even they can't elevate the dull, convoluted, and utterly unimaginative Assassin's Creed

Sadly this is a pretty to look at but very boring to watch! I had high expectations and it just didn't meet any of them. Avoid this film if you can if you want to get bored

If you've played the games, don't watch this movie. It doesn't follow the game at all

What a waste of talent. Awful

The Assassin's Creed video game franchise is one of my personal favorites, something about the gameplay makes you feel powerful and nimble like a real assassin, the characters in the video games are for the most part fleshed out and interesting, the historical settings are also amazing, at least for a History Major like me, and do not even get me started on the music. However, the film adaptation is not nearly the same. This film takes that same concept from the video games, tries to push the audience along with half-assed explanations, and drops random under developed, lifeless characters into the film for the sole purpose of pushing the plot forward. No development, almost non-existent plot, lazy and awful explanations for these complex sci-fyi elements, and a quick yet also slow dragging tempo takes this movie down as yet another failed video game movie

This movie was complete *beep* I absolutely Love assassins creed, but to be honest, I hated this movie!

Pretty boring, some action but nothing spectacular

The past presents plenty of action and fun, and the present is nothing but dull characters and a dull plot, and a whole lot of standing around and little action. the film takes place more in the future than the past, rendering the film mostly a disappointment

Great action set pieces and nice cinematography can't save this. My biggest disappointment of 2016

Even though I've played all the games and loved most of them, this movie is a complete mess and makes little sense. It won't please fans of the game or newcomers. Such a waste of good potential!

Played all the AC games but didn't enjoy the movie much. The action was okay but the story left a lot to be desired
