MUCH better film than its RT score suggests

I went into this VERY skeptical after reading several extremely negative reviews and seeing that the RT score was hovering around 20%. But I was so pleasantly surprised by this film. I just really enjoyed it despite not completely understanding everything that was going on. The action was great, as was the score and the acting. The biggest problem with it, I'd say, was the script - the ending, in particular. But overall, great job.

Before watching it, I was dead set against a sequel (I'm a Fassbender fan* and felt like his time and effort would be better invested elsewhere), but now I'm really hoping this makes enough money to justify one.

*And in case you think that as a fan, I like every movie he makes - I don't. Hated X-Men Apocalypse, for example.

It wasn't terrible, but I didn't think it was great either.

I thought the movie was epic. I haven't played all of the AC games. Only black flag so far. But I thought the movie was done very well and felt true to the lore to me.

I agree. Something is definitely up because this isn't a bad film. I agree. Some of the dialogue could have been written better but this is a 7/10. I want to see the sequel.

It's ok to like more than one actor. :))

Yeah, the dialogue was cringey in parts and the ending was too rushed. But it was a solid B for me if I'm giving it a grade.
