I always thought Silent Hill was unfairly panned. I still think that's been the best video adaption ever made, despite the bad reviews.

There's not going to be a good video game movie. At this point, there's obviously a reason why they don't turn out well, and it's not because of the directors, writers or cast.

That's definitely a possibility. There may be an inherent flaw in attempting to cinematically adapt something designed to be as interactive as possible. I mean, how fun is it to just sit there and watch somebody else play a video game for two hours.

Surprisingly, that can be very fun. I watch let's plays on Youtube and I actually enjoy watching them. So, it isn't really that, it's something else.
