Trailer looks really silly with rap music and...

Is it just me or doesn't this trailer look really silly with rap music and focus on bad fighting scenes.
This game would only be a decent movie if they focused on the story.
It's a shame to see such great actors as Fassbender and Cotillard doing this, they are certainly not like Dicaprio in that aspect.
Dicaprio chooses his movies and roles VERY well, almost every movie he's in is awesome.
Maybe i'm wrong and the movie will be good, BUT... it's highly unlikely imo.

Bad fighting scenes? Really? Well to each their own, I think they look really well done. And look would I have used rap music? probably not, but as the old saying goes any buzz is good buzz, sure there were lots of re-edited trailers, but that is beneficial to them and probably what they wanted, not only will they generate interest from the trailer, but the movie itself will also gain more attention from the Assassin's Creed community and others making re-edited trailers, so Kanye in a way was actually a good thing. Also just remember that the song is only for the trailer and won't be in the movie, plus there should be a new trailer coming out soon without rap music anyway.

And do keep in mind It is just a teaser as well and barely shows anything about the story, so we don't know yet whether it'll be good or bad, but with Fassbender having been producing this project for nearly 5 years now, with Justin Kurzel at the helm, and with an all star cast like this, it has a very high chance of being a great movie, but we'll have to wait and see.

It's just the couple of verses I think people got ticked off knowing that it was Kanye. If those weren't there I think it would get even more praise because the beat, drums, and Capletom reggae vocals work well.

Btw, a new trailer was shown at Kino Expo in Russia yesterday. There should be reports coming out about it soon

I agree with you, I think some people just overreact to anything nowadays even when it's not that bad to begin with.

Yeah I have been hearing about that, I really hope we get the trailer this week, next week at the latest. If it came out tomorrow I would be in heaven, but i'm not gonna be holding my breath on that one. If they wait till October, ah well I just hope it'll be worth the wait :)

The trailer was almost ruined by that horrible soundtrack. I thought the fighting looked good though.

Agreed - not sure why the latest trend of putting modern music in period movies/trailers is the best idea. Trailer makes me a little nervous for this movie... I want it to be great, but all I see are flashy visuals and special effects.

The second trailer will feature orchestral music. It's confirmed, so keep calm.

Nolan, I love you forever!

They've done that with all the Assassin Creed game trailers, though. Also, this is not a period piece movie. At all. They only give the appearance of going back in time. They really aren't.

Not really, there's no rap music in assassin's creed. It's in the trailer to appeal to larger demographics and teenagers in general.

They had Drake in one of the AC trailers

Oooh boy, i predicted this bomb. I'm starting to get skilled on this thing.

banana, the crappy rap music was meant to increase the demographics? well, that backfired lol
