I went to the premiere.

It was OK. As a film it wasn't terrible. But it definitely was far from great. It strayed too far from what makes the games good however. The majority (about 75%) of the film takes place in modern day. Meaning the story isn't set in the past. The characters from 15th century Spain aren't even characters. There's only a few real Assassin's Creed scenes, and the audience are given no backstory whatsoever for them. So they're hardly enjoyable. The story is confusing, predictable, and alienating. This is coming from someone who has played all of the games. It ends, not really on a cliffhanger, but in the air so we know their will be some sequels. As a fan of Assassin's Creed. I'm ultimately disappointed. Anything you'd like to know?
