If this movie bombs (critically and financially)...

Should we continue to hire good writers/directors to make movies based on video games, or stop the genre all together?

I'd like to hear your thoughts!

this genre of movie only has the option of getting bigger, because games are getting WAY bigger every year

the financial incentive is too great to stop

I think as video games advance more people will be interested in seeing the good ones get film adaptations. Technically it is never out of the realm of possibility for a video game movie to be good; there just has to be a good balance of people on and off camera. It will probably grow also because the movie industry is running out of original ideas.

Hollywood still has some original ideas, it's just that people never watch them and demand Marvel/DC movies instead.

It shouldn't because there are plenty of video games these days that could make movie franchises
