who's giving it a 10?

This is just crazy. I feel people randomly give it a 10. How many premiers did this movie have so far? I thought there was 1.....

This happens with every movie on IMDB, people who haven't seen the film and want it to be good give it a 10 and the ones who don't give it a 1 don't trust these user reviews until the film at least comes out first.

reply

I was actually thinking the same. Just really sad that people do it. I will definitely wait until the movie comes out to see more accurate score

I guess the most important questions is: did you even see the movie?

reply

Nop, I'm just a fan, if you are not then fo away

go* hhhh *beep* my keypad

No need to be shallow, if you read my previous posts you would have seen that I want to see the movie. But I'm not rating movies I didn't see

reply

I usually wait until a movie hits at least 25,000 votes, then i get a rough outline of it's actual rating give or take a few.

reply

Yeah, people vote before even seeing it. I'm an Uber-fan and I want this film to be a 10... but I'd never vote on something I haven't seen yet. Kind of defeats the purpose of the rating system.

Also, there have actually now been at least 5- 4 in the US (1 public one in NYC this week, others at Fox) and 1 in Madrid. Possibly more internationally. So, some- not all, but SOME- of these votes/reviews are probably legitimate.

reply

Thanx for the info. But yeah there are a lot of stupid people that don't follow rules and just do what they want to do without thinking about consequences. I would never rate a movie without seeing it.

reply

Anytime! Yeah, that's why (for now) I'm basing my expectations for the movie on what people who've been to those premiers have said. Loomer, for example, is SUCH a die-hard AC fan that he will absolutely criticize anything- including the games themselves- for being wrong or just bad (Unity, for example, having basically no impact or contributions to the overall AC universe).

He saw the movie at the NYC premiere this week and rated the movie an 8.5/10, saying that- aside from some minor contradictions to the established franchise canon- the movie absolutely respects, references, and advances the larger story of Assassin's Creed.

Sorry for the long response, just thought you might find it interesting. :)

Well, though I don't agree with your tactics, I must admit that I find your dedication admirable.
