Surprised- funnier than I thought it would be

..But still pretty bad movie, LOL.

Remember hearing bad reviews about it when it came out, but finally saw it last night and it was funnier than they made it sound to be.

It was of course nowhere near as funny as the original, but I was very surprised that it was still pretty funny.

The only thing I really didn't like and a somebody mentioned this- In the original, Jim Carrey's character is so dumb that he cant even read, but in this one, he appears to be the smarter one and has a better ability to read and pronounce words, not to mention apparently stronger reasoning skills than Harry. In part one, Harry was the smarter one. It appears that it had been so long that the writers wrote Lloyd out of character like that. They must have forgot how dumb he was in part one to give him such reasoning ability in this one.

But right from the start, it had me laughing. I thought it would be so bad that it didn't even make me laugh, but that wasn't the case at all. The look on Carrey's face as he's sitting in that wheelchair on the lawn was funny right off the bat. LOL.

So at least it was pretty funny for a comedy, but yeah, overall, nowhere near as good or funny as part one, which is my favorite comedy of all time. The "why don't ya eat up and we'll tell ya" scene and sequence in part one is one of the funniest scenes of any comedy ever.
