It looks to me like the people being pranked are in on the joke.

I can't say I've seen many episodes. I've only just began watching this.

But I've never seen an angry reaction to the pranks. In fact, the people pranked are always laughing like they're in on it.

Thoughts? Any examples where there was a very angry reaction?

I think they just cut out all the angry reactions not so much because they are angry but because they don't sign off on the face blur being off and it looks bad on tv

I've watched from the beginning. They do show some angry reactions. I have seen some where it gets pretty heated, and the joker has to kind of scurry off for safety (I remember Murr doing this). In some cases they show the subject of the prank after they reveal the joke, and they are relieved and laugh along with the jokers, but you can see there is still a bit of the anger - but evaporating away.

Decent show either way I guess. It's one of the few shows on tv I can bear to watch anymore. Haha.

People definitely weren't in on the joke in the early seasons, which made the show feel very genuine.

There have been lots of times in recent seasons where reactions feel phoned-in. I'm willing to believe that a lot of regular people recognize the Impractical Jokers troup and will play into their antics because they already know they're being pranked and want to be on TV.
