They would have been better off making a Gremlins ripoff with the girl and the marshmallow men. focused the movie more for kids.

Perhaps they could do some kind of spin-off perhaps, away from the main cast and story, for kids.
The post-movie scene with the marshmellow men and the truck seemed really pointless to me. Like something they edited out and tacked onto the end or something.
