Jared and Kate ( "Echo" episode - SPOILERS )

I just finished season 2 with the "Echo" episode. This was a good TV story, but I thought it was even more ridiculous than the whole premise of the series. Even though I like the series for the clever ways it puts the viewer in these situations between the Americans and the Russians, I don't see this would be possible in real life at all, at least with children and a family. And if there is not a family, then the illegal agents would never quite be able to infiltrate where they did in the show.

So, we are supposed to believe that Kate the handlers met and seduced Jared the kid and told him they were going off together to be spies, and the family objected so he shot them all, including his sister to run off with Kate, and that Larrick was uninvolved?

Well, it did make for suspenseful TV, but not very realistic.
