i know that Tracks is based on a book/true story and it looks really amazing and i am excited to see adam driver
BUT
the whole preview all i could think of was, A Far Off Place, also based on books, and that awesome quote.

anyone else???

if you havent see in it A far off place, you should, it was a disney live action from '93 (back when they were great) staring Reece Witherspoon and Ethan Embry. amazing movie, great PG, inspired my youth.

Another film that might be closer to "Tracks" than "A Far Off Place" is "Walkabout" - but there's still BIG differences. There are many differences in the story and approach of "Tracks" and "A Far Off Place" - there aren't any smuggler villains with machine guns in "Tracks", it's not in Africa, and the essence of the book is something else altogether, not to mention it's capturing something unique about the australian reality. When you get to see "Tracks" it will be interesting to see how you compare the two.

I was also reminded of Walkabout - hard not to be, really.
