eh, overall I didn't really care for this

I am guessing the books are much better that this show, but the material didn't translate well to the screen, or at least the way they handled it here.

So the bottom line is, I might still read the books, but I will not be back for season 2.

Eh, I don’t know. I read this in my book club a few years ago and while my friend who suggested was obsessed with this series, I couldn’t get past book 1. I found Diana annoying and terribly dull. I was hoping the show might be better but I’m halfway through the pilot and I don’t think I’ll watch the rest.

Yeah, I sort of changed my mind about reading the books as well. A lot of the negative reviews on Amazon resonated with me.

I watched just the first episode and felt the same. Does it become more interesting? It just felt really dry.

I thought the first couple of episodes were alright. Then, somehow, she fell madly in love with this vampire dude. I totally missed how that relationship became so special. I've been watching season 2 sort of in the background while I do other things because I basically lost interest. I don't think I will watch season 3 unless someone can recommend it.
