The Darkness was annoying

They took off the light to add some horror (fear what you can't see), but visually, I found it annoying more than anything else. I would have enjoyed actually seeing the characters, namely their faces, emotions, mannerisms, and such.

I totally agree why do so many films have to be a night

I totally thought the same thing. Having all the darkness just took away from the movie.

Plus it doesn't make sense to me why the rebels would cut the power, to make it harder for the family to find the homeless guy?

IMO the lighting was done well from a technical standpoint. It was the dumb people wandering around ALONE in it without shotguns that was annoying.

Also annoying...When Daddy-O decides to stand and fight he leaves the intruder strapped to a chair instead of arming the dude to help against the very same psycho's who were out to get him in the first place? Brilliant storytelling.
