They took off the light to add some horror (fear what you can't see), but visually, I found it annoying more than anything else. I would have enjoyed actually seeing the characters, namely their faces, emotions, mannerisms, and such.

shareIMO the lighting was done well from a technical standpoint. It was the dumb people wandering around ALONE in it without shotguns that was annoying.
Also annoying...When Daddy-O decides to stand and fight he leaves the intruder strapped to a chair instead of arming the dude to help against the very same psycho's who were out to get him in the first place? Brilliant storytelling.
