It's scary that sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. I just hope that this "silly movie" make us think about our moral limitations. If you watch real news, everyday, you will see that some underline -moral criteria- in the movie is already happening. Not just in the US. How many people think they have the right to kill others? To be cruel? To make laws that don't protect human rights? To make social distinctions?
