no logic at all ....

i liked the concept of the movie, but the logic of everyone except for the dad is ridiculous ...

the rest of the family are complete idiots, from letting the stranger in the house on the ONE day of the year you can kill people, and after he goes missing the kids just run off all over the house??? ... i don't even care about the ending with the neighbors it was fine, the whole point of the movie is killing was legal.

and why would they not have a safe room to lock them selves in for the 12 hours??

the movie is so bad, the son ruined the movie.

I agree, but they are children so not always logical. What bothered me is that they just let their daughter run off with a dying boy who had just tried to kill the dad and didn't chase after her. I know they had a lot going on, but they just let the kids run off to different corners of the house - surely it's safer to all stay together?

IMO kids (and rest of the rich people) didn´t have any sense of fear because of the Purge. USA was safe heaven for 364 days. Most of rich people just watched violence and criminal acts from the focking TV! To them, killing was just like some movie. They didn´t had any real connection to the violence. In the end, they face harsh reality :D

i think it would be logical to assume that if a purge did exist, the entire population of the US would drop substantially in the first year. Every one carries a grudge against some one else.
