Enjoyable even with the agenda - Spoilers

We get it. White men are bad, but they don't start out that way (like the kid lets the injured guy in so clearly he hasn't been corrupted yet).

With that aside pretty entertaining. I really liked the leader kid. His speech and mannerisms were creepy. Lena Headey was great as the mom. On the shorter side so there wasnt much down time.

Sure they should have had a panic room, but how much fun would that have been? Watching a family huddled in their impervious secret room for 85 minutes.

Things I thought should have been done differently:

Lets mourn dear old dads passing a little more. Sure there were some initial tears, but then at the end they gather at the door seemingly without a concern about their dad.

The boyfriend trying to kill the dad. Teens do stupid things, but come on no way he would do that unless he talked about it first and clearly he didnt. Solution: Add him to the movie anyway. Snuck in to be with her, saves the day, earns the Dad's trust or maybe one of the invaders kill him. Who knows, just don't do what they did.

Leader kid shooting his "friend" to make a point. Uh, I don't know too many college kids who would stick together through that unless the guy happened to be the obnoxious jerk every group seems to have. Solution: Just add a scene or two to illustrate that guy was annoying to make his execution more believable.

Didn't buy the Mom turning the other cheek to people who were about to kill her kids. Her husband is dead. Who knows what kind of future they are going to face. The last thing she would want is her neighbors killing them next year or tracking them down if they move. Solution: Kill them.
