When all is said and done, a movie that sticks with you for days afterward, can be a really cool thing....and that's all the director or writer or producer is trying to accomplish.....making you THINK. Of course, seeing it multiple times helps the box office receipts!

But for me, personally, I love the subversive, antithetical nature of a black and white film being shot at Disney's "wonderful world of color"....and that a family man on a vacation with the wife and kids, "fantasizes" about pedophilia and having sex with two underage girls. The underlying theme of dreams becoming nightmares, and the relative phoniness of everyday life come into play, but the setting is really not the point. This protagonist could be suffering his mental disorder ANYWHERE! The fact that he's in a Disney park should really be irrelevant.

I truly look forward to this thought provoking film, and hope the folks at Disney realize that this movie, in reality, has very little to do with their brand, or their copyrights, and allow the adult nature of this film speak for itself, without trying to intercept or interfere with the artistic process in the meantime.....and in turn, becoming more involved in the story than it needs to!

Thanks for your review, Menzel. I've yet to see this intriguing film. I'm wondering if the filmmaker uses Baudrillard and others' ideas of Disneyland as hyperreality.
