Tumbler creature

Did the plot ever deal with the "Tumbler" creature that was supposedly tracking Joel? We lezrn that tumblers are big and that they stalk their pray for a long while if they catch their scent. We never see an encounter with this tumbler later in the movie. Also what was the creature in the trees when Joel looks over the cliff right agfter hearing about the tumbler. To me it looked like the giant frog from earlier but I wasn't sure.

THE "CHUMBLER" TRACKING JOEL WAS THE FROG MONSTER FROM WHEN HE MEETS BOY...CLYDE TAKES JOEL'S SHIRT AND PUTS IT ON THE BOULDER SNAIL TO SPREAD JOEL'S SCENT AND CONFUSE THE CHUMBLER.🙂

I loved all the ‘monsters’ in this movie.
I suppose they were all c.g.i but some looked so good I wondered if they were actually automated or puppets?
Really cute film and I loved seeing all the Australian trees and scenery in it.
