I’m surprised nobody’s giving it more praise here because it deserves it. Maybe everybody o’ded on the last Star Wars. I liked Rampage because it was a straight forward action movie without overdoing it. Good cast, good pace, good direction, and good music. It’s lacking mostly in the plot, but hey, what are you expecting from a movie based on a video game. I was just happy at least that there were no shaky-jerky cam and quick editing. And it didn’t bore me to death, switch your brain off at the door and enjoy the ride.

I totally agree with you! This movie vastly exceeded my expectations. Didn't think they could've done much from a basic/somewhat boring video game, but they pulled it off greatly!

Same. It wasnt a masterpiece, but for a giant monster movie it was quite enjoyable and for an american monster movie it was better than most.

No. NOO. That scene where the outcast geneticist fist bumped arnold, I mean the rock, she had no idea that was his thing. That completely dispelled any notion of reality for me and made me fall into a 3 year coma.

Ok I kid... I actually enjoyed it for what it was. But then it is 2021, and every single thing these past 2 years since covid, has either been a shitty zombie flick, vampire, crap horror or third rate sci fi that makes me want to disembowel myself with a spoon.

I enjoyed it too. I was considering giving it up after the zoo scene's awful dialog, etc., but it got a lot better.
