That darn Susan Wright character

Am I the only person who REALLY wanted to like Susan? I kept waiting for her to do something noble or be genuinely kind for once. But alas, she kept letting me down. When she came back to her home and found Tom, I thought maybe she would let him stay a bit, but no. And when they showed her cooking, I was like "Awh, she's feeding him!"
Nope. She was just cooking for herself. 😞
I still have hope for you, Susan Wright!

On a side note: I can't imagine a sweeter place to have a trailer park. Dang, I would totally live there!

Yeah, it would have been interesting to see more layers to her character. I think that ship sailed though as soon as she made that rape threat in the first season, thus sealing her fate as an utterly vile character.

This is true. I forgot about that rape comment. I guess I always try to look for the best in people. But that was indefensible.

She was terrified of her past coming out. People will say and do anything when they're terrified. It was a horrible thing to say...but she was desperate. No excuse but definitely a reason.

What about her accusing her son and insisting he was a child killer just because he rejected her?
