have no interest in a 3rd season of this
I just finished watching seasons 1 and 2 over the weekend. I very much enjoyed the first season...the second season not so much. There were too many gaps in logic and procedure to take this very seriously in the second season; they basically destroyed the faith I had in the plot and characters from the first season with the ludicrously written second season.
So apparently this is returning for a 3rd season this Fall (ahem)...I don't see the point. There are really only 2 ways that they can continue the plot of this, one of which would be asinine and cop-show predictable, the other would be tediously boring.
The first is, Spector somehow escapes from custody and returns to his killing spree. This would be ludicrous, and something you'd expect from a low-ambition serial crime-drama (hmm, maybe it wouldn't be so unexpected after all?).
The second is, Spector remains in custody, and he continues his mind-fùck games with Gibson, which I don't really see the point of basing 5 episodes just around this. There was already some of it at in season 2, and it was already beoming tiresome to me already.
So what else could happen to hold interest in season 3? Another killer? Yawn. Maybe Katie the Babysitter takes up Spector's work and starts killing for him! I'd tune in for that just for the laughs, though.
