This comic was rooted in the 80s. This epic orchestra sound doesn't fit, needed some sort of synth soundtrack.
And BTW, the animated segment in "Legends of the Dark Knight" from Batman TAS looked a lot cooler than this movie.

I have to say, I've been listening to the ost these past few days and only this morning I was drawing comparisons between this and some of the sound design in transformers the movie among other 80's choons. I love it. For me, it was the perfect blend of the synthy electronica and epic orchestral sound.
