can people stop drawing up Batman like a Hulk

every progession of these crappy batman animations, keep making him look bulkier and bulkier by the next...

Might as well put Bane in a Batman suit....

Well, just like your "dyke Robin", that's how he's depicted in the comics. I like Batman with the more grounded athletic build, but I think drawing him huge worked with an older Batman pretty well.

Now you don't talk so loud. Now you don't seem so proud.

They're just trying to stay true to his depiction in the comic...I think they did a good job of that

Frank Miller made Batman huge and bulky to match the operatic sturm und drang of his story. It was also part of the manga style that Miller adapted for this and Ronin.

That's about the build that Batman had in Frank Miller's graphic novel, so take it up with him. It seems like most of the complaints on here are for elements that were being faithful to the source material. The Dark Knight Returns is praised as one of the greatest graphic novels of all time and so understandably they were trying to honor that.

I have no problem with him being that big, the logic behind it for me was that since he is now so old, he can't be as fast as he used to be, so now he's replaced that with power. This is a real-life martial arts concept, as speed is generally a young persons attribute and is the first thing to go with aging.

Plus realistically he would be bulkier old because his metabolism has slowed down. The younger batman would be lean, the older would be chunkier.
