in live action?

I could see Ron Pearlman as Batman and maybe Michael Masse or even Tim Curry as The Joker

I am totally with you on Ron Perlman as Batman. I have always wanted to hear Tim Curry's Joker, and think he would be great in a DARK KNIGHT RETURNS film.

Clancy Brown as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Tim Curry would be fine as The Joker.

When I read the comic, Bruce at the beginning with the moustache made me think of Powers Boothe in Sin City, so:

Batman/Bruce Wayne - Powers Boothe

On a message board I saw someone say Peter Gallagher for Superman, and thought that was pretty good, now that's who I picture.

Superman/Kal-El - Peter Gallagher

I know he's always the villain, and obvious as the g-to guy for these roles, but Willem Dafoe does look the part for Joker as he appears in TDKR.

Barbara Hershey would look pretty great as Selina Kyle.

Curry wouldn't be bad at all.

But after hearing Michael Emerson's laugh in the preview for Part 2, I'm starting to think he might have the chops for live action as well.
