A well directed film. Not perfect, but worth it.

I really recommend this film to people who love gothic settings and those who love psychological thrillers. The only thing I would say is that the climax is traditional paranormal horror. You get some Poltergeist tropes and an over-the-top confrontation. The writing is very character-oriented and theme focused until that point. The pay-off is up in the air and is reliant on interpretation. My advice is to enjoy psychological and paranormal aspect of it and you'll understand it.

Anyways, good film. It's on netflix. check it out.

Your title indicates that you found the movie well directed, but the post itself doesn't follow up and say what you have in mind with regard to that subject.

I am also not sure what perfection would have meant to you in this case.

Apologizes. I meant "Well made".

Perfection would've meant something like Pan's Labyrinth or The Orphanage

Okay, I get "well made." What I still don't understand is the second point, how you worked out that those movies are perfect and this one was not. I don't know your criteria, so there's no way to judge your judgement for myself.
