4/10 for me 😞

His acting was annoying!

Give it a 1/10 or you won't affect the score as much. People need to be clued in about this overrated turd of a movie. That kid (or his "acting", wtf cares..) made me want to castrate myself.

When he was supposed to be menacing he was annoying.

Of course he was never supposed to be menacing. Not even subtly. Evidently the real problem is careless viewing.

I thought he was excellent.

So annoying and easy to hate in the beginning (because we see him through his mother's eyes):
Loud,so demanding, acting strange/dangerously, attention seeking-- like the most horrible brat in the world, terrorizing his poor, tired mom.
And then we discover the truth:
He is living with a mentally disturbed mother, who is unable to really make him feel loved, supported, safe.
He is so afraid and gets it that she doesn't want him.
So he IS seeking her attention, his overacting is a constantly cry for help and love.
He is clinging to her like a child drowning in the ocean-- and building all the traps because on a subconcious level he feels her hate.

Psychologically this is so aquarate behavior of how children react to this level of insecurity and lack of loving attention I wonder why I didn't get it in the first 15 minutes of the movie.
