Booring, tons of setup, never pays off
Really wanted to enjoy this movie, very surprised at how slow and boring it was.
It felt like the first 50% of the film was setup with almost no scares at all. When they finally did decide to go for some scares, they didn't really land for me.
Watched this film at night with my girl, lights all off, hoping for a good scary flick.. but it was just too boring and not-scary. What a shame.
Glad some other people enjoyed the film. I didn't hate it, but I can't recommend it. The film never pays off.. it sets itself up to be something larger than it ultimately ends up being.
