This is a really good film.

SPOILERS

Godzilla looked incredible, and the close-up shots of his face especially when he was tailing the sailboat was incredible. His face and eyes were quite expressive, which was really good to see. Loved that when he lit up, his back "fins" elevated.

I thought Koichi and Noriko were great together. Fate bringing them together with the child, was beautifully done.

The film was beautifully shot. CGI worked. All the chaos, explosions and destruction all worked. I just thought Noriko holding onto the train for as long as she did, was a bit unrealistic.

Her having survived being in the hospital, was a bit surprising, however Koichi having a happy ending was fine.

Godzilla fan ? Then this is a must watch.

I enjoyed this a lot. The characters were very interesting and Godzilla was just a dumb beast set on destruction.

The CGI was good sometimes even if the monster looked and moved a bit goofy you could ignore it as the story was more important here.

We like the more corny godzilla flicks at my house hold. But i can understand people liking this style too. My son and i just love the bombasticness when there are multiple monsters

The Matthew Broderick one is still my favorite. New York took a beating there.
