Great and underrated performance by Alec. I mean, I know that Cate stole the show but Alec was able to create with only a handful of scenes an intriguing and charming character. It speaks volumes of his acting ability, the fact that I was able to empathize with such a sleazy and underdeveloped character.

I agree. I also would have liked to see more scenes of Ginger and Augie visiting Jasmine and Hal in NYC. The juxtaposition of the two couples was an interesting dynamic. The scenes with Chili were noisy, frenetic, and less compelling.
Some movies are released; others sneak out.
This is getting old but.. I also agree. His performance was subtle but impressive at the same time.

Sorry for the late answer, 2 years later. But yeah, he looked great. He looks younger and thinner. I think his yoga wife is doing wonders to his health. Although he has gained a few pounds since this movie came out.
