Again, Woody Allen wrote the story, not I. He used a Jewish actor (best known for playing a Jewish cuckold in A Serious Man) and had him play a slimy dentist, again the character frustrated and needing sex/love. Bottom line the audience mostly knows he's Jewish and is playing again a clown (of sorts) written/directed by Jewish filmmakers. If that is antisemitic, don't blame me.

Most gold diggers do not marry handsome men who look like David Beckham or John Stamos. Because it was not "all about money" with this character. She was a nervous wreck. She had a life that crumbled big time. The Dentist came on too creepy and too strong and TOO desperate - and no woman likes being approached like that (rich or poor), he seemed like he was almost going to rape her.
