I wanted to like this film....

But something was missing.

The cast tried hard, but the leprechaun didn't speak and looked like a goblin. The plot didn't make sense. They stole his gold, so had to offer up sacrifices. WTF?

Stephanie Bennett tried so, so hard. She had the right look, personality and I really felt she had the stuff to be a decent final girl. She could've been iconic. She deserved better.

Unfortunately a film like Leprechaun deserves a charismatic actor, who plays it tounge in cheek. Warwick Davis nailed it. Hornswoggle didn't even get dialogue.

Somehow, despite trying, the magic just wasn't there.

Her character was awful.
She was directly responsibly for most of her friends dying and in one case at her hands and yet finds time to be judgemental over something she was ok with her friend doing and something she does moments later plus she gets to survive.

She's the typical modern final girl.
A mess that's undeserving to live but is the only one who does simply because it's modern horror and a female has to survive so *beep* having a decent character or story

It was just crap.

A movie was missing.

Origins is one of the worst horror movies I've ever seen and didn't feel like any of the previous Leprechaun movies, he didn't even speak in this movie!
