I haven't seen this since it's release a couple years ago so I kept remembering it as being a wife or child he was burying but then....
I watched it again today and was very wtf!?
Obviously the dog was all he had left in this world and it was dead.
The most loyal, forgive you for anything and likely to give it's life for you rover....
