Car brands

What brands are the truck and the sedan in this movie?

reply

The car is an Opel, I don't know about the truck.

It's not an Opel it's a Holden - the brand that General Motors (GM) uses in Australia. They used to be branded as GM-H but I've not lived in Australia since 1989. Opel is tbe brand that GM uses in Europe (except the UK where they are Vauxhalls).

I'm fairly sure that the model is a Commadore.

The truck had the badge removed from the grille and I did not see any branding on the rear. I presume that this could mean that GM-H did not supply the truck but not the car?

Edited (typo): Holden not Holder....

Pretty sure they're both Holdens, I think the car's badge is the same as the one on the truck's steering wheel. Doubt the truck is anything we'd see here, but probably comparable to our Canyon or whatever the S10 is now. The car however is a Holden Commodore - available here as the Pontiac G8 GT.

Thanks for the answers. Holden must be a common brand in Australia. The question was concerned with the title of the movie. Where I live it goes transliterated as "Ровер" and so is widely associated with the Rover car brand, thus the truck is regarded as Rover and confusion follows :)
