Robert Pattison ruined this.

Horrible southern accent.
Pity' as this odd film has its charm
and Guy Pearce excelled as usual.
Sorta Mad Max meets El Topo.

Southern accent? Do you mean south Australian accent? Probably 1 in a hundred thousand people who have watched this movie would know what that sounds like.

When they made Mad Max they dubbed it into American hillbilly when they exported it if I remember right.

I have never watched those teen movies he made but he did a good job in this movie as far as I am concerned.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

Actually, he and his brother traveled from the U.S. to work in the mines. IA, he did a very good job with the character. IMHO, it is a very credible accent. If one wants to find issues with, one will.

I disagree.. Didn't realize it was him in the movie..(I thought he was some Australian actor I didn't know) I thought that actor had sparks of brilliance in his performance.. He actually saved the movie for me by his acting.. I can bet it wasn't easy playing that role...

During the promo for The Rover, Rob Pattinson actually admitted that playing Rey wasn't difficult at all for him. When reading the script he immediately felt a connection with the character and during the auditions, according to director Michôd, he stood out above the other candidates. Rob got a lot of freedom in creating Rey. He didn't want to simply play a retarded man but opted for a more layered character, a guy who was bullied that much that he hadn't developed an identity of his own. He was a very dependant guy until he met Eric who took him the way he was.
Tbh, in one of these promo interviews, Pattinson admitted that playing the undead Edward Cullen during 5 movies had been a lot more difficult 

I thought Robert Pattinson pretty much made the movie, his perfromance was great. Thought it was really well considered and played out - damn good job.
