This is one of the few movies in which I truly did not have a clue as to what might happen next . The main character murders a person and there is no good or bad narrative. The world is so immersive , I truely love this film because there are no over the top moments . People kill in a lawless realm with few , scattered elements of a functioning system also operating , it's pure joy to this world come to life .

I watched this film for the second time a few nights ago and was able to pay attention to things that I wouldn't have noticed on the first viewing. The acting of the two main characters, the background music and no nonsense violence without theatrics worked especially well for me.
And being a dog lover, I am pretty biased. Their loyalty and trust can sometimes put some people to shame.
Yeah the dog aspect is important because while the main character does kill , he still retains a bit of humanity by wanting to give his dog a proper burial .
