Jaquetta and Margaret's relationship

When Jaquetta was on trial for her witchcraft she saved herself by reminding Warrick of her past relationship with Margaret of Anjou. This ultimately was a threat that if she was harmed that Margret would in turn kill them, but why would she. I understand that they were great friends, but Jaquetta's daughter is on Margarets throne and she made it clear she wanted Warrick to deal with the imposter Queen.. With this said, why would he fear Margaret because of a past relationship with a women who is now considered an enemy? It is not like they would go back to being girlfriends if the Lancasters won and Margaret was Queen of England permanently.

Good question. They sort of breezed past this plot point but, in the books, they had a much closer relationship than the show depicted.

So we just have to go with it. That just the threat was enough to make Warwick realize this was a battle not worth fighting. He had bigger fish to fry.

Real-world answer? Chalk it up to tv time constraints.

Yeah, it seemed like they danced around the issue despite referencing it. Margaret herself mentions jaquetta in passing once, but it gave no indication on what she felt about her. The whole trial thing may as well have been skipped over as you said was a plot they breezed past.

I think the show made it clear as did the book that Jaquetta and Margaret D' Anjou were close friends ever since she served her all those years. They mention it briefly, but it is said that they had a special relationship. It makes sense that even though Anjou is an ice queen she still cared for her old friend, probably one of the only people she cared about or even liked and that is why she spared her.

II understand that they were friends, very good friends according to Jaquetta in the show. Jaquetta makes several statements implying sympathy for both Margaret and her husband. Margaret never mentions her in the show except a passing statement. I would think a friendship,no matter how close, would be out of the question since Margaret implied she wanted Elizabeth dead, her good friends daughter. And wouldn't Jaquetta be classified as a turn-cloak? I guess she would spare her but doubt a friendship would continue. However, when Mary of England executed Francis Brandon's daughter and husband, she remained a favorite to Queen Mary.

It's Frances, and she wasn't exactly a favorite - more of a hostage, it would seem:
Frances lived in poverty during the reign of Mary I. Mary I made a point of placing her by her side, favored but kept under the observation of the queen. She was still regarded with some suspicion...
